City of Charlotte issued the following announcement on Dec. 2.
The City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County are now accepting entries for the Leading the Charge electric vehicle decal design competition.
The first-time competition is open to local college students in Mecklenburg County. The selected design will be placed on all city and county low-emission vehicles and the designer will be awarded $5,000.
Competition Rules
- Only students attending colleges or universities in Mecklenburg County are eligible to enter the competition.
- Designs must follow City of Charlotte design guidelines and Mecklenburg County design guidelines.
- The size of the decal must be 12" x24".
- Submissions are open from Dec. 1, 2021, through Jan. 31, 2022.
- The winner will be announced on Feb. 14, 2022.
- For any questions regarding the competition, county and city staff will host two virtual question and answer sessions. The first Q&A session will be held on Dec. 6, 2021, at noon, and the second Q&A session will be held on Jan. 19, 2022, at 7 p.m.
