Town of Cary issued the following announcement on Nov. 3.
Contractors working on S. Academy Street between E. Park and Dry Ave. are planning to reopen the street to through traffic no later than the morning of Thursday, November 4.
The sidewalk closure on the east side of S. Academy will remain in place with the temporary pedestrian detour through Saturday morning, November 6.
Once the road reopens to traffic, some delays can be expected in the area until work on the sidewalk is completed.
