City of Cary issued the following announcement on Sep 17.
Academy Street will be closed between Dry Avenue and E. Chatham Street from noon to 3 p.m. to accommodate activities related to Public Safety Day.
A signed detour will be in place throughout the closure.
Drivers in the area are asked to exercise caution, as an increased pedestrian presence is expected throughout the event.
