WakeMed's maternity hospitals in Raleigh, Cary, and North have been named to Newsweek's list of America's Best Maternity Hospitals for the fourth year in a row. The ranking by Newsweek, based on Statista's data, also places WakeMed among the top-performing maternity care hospitals in the nation.
The list highlights the country's best 444 hospitals in the maternity field, with these institutions meeting Statista’s stringent metrics based on evidence-based, nationally standardized criteria. Of the hospitals evaluated, WakeMed was one of the 182 to achieve a five-ribbon rating, the highest possible category.
This accolade is founded on a comprehensive survey involving medical professionals, the assessment of key performance indicators, and patient feedback. WakeMed is known for delivering over 9,900 babies annually in Wake County, offering personalized, patient-centered care in its three hospitals. The services include state-of-the-art facilities, support for babies requiring additional care, and various supportive services like lactation, childbirth, and parenting classes.
