Governor Josh Stein announced that Ralliant Corporation, a global technology provider, will establish its headquarters in Wake County. The move is expected to create 180 jobs and involve an investment of $2.1 million in Raleigh's North Hills area.

"North Carolina’s technology hub has attracted another great company to our state,” Governor Stein stated. “We welcome Ralliant to the Research Triangle, where they can tap into our highly skilled workforce and workforce training systems to supercharge their business.”

Ralliant will operate as an independent public entity after separating from Fortive Corporation in early Q3 2025. The company is part of Fortive’s Precision Technologies segment and manages brands with around $2 billion in revenue.

Commerce Secretary Lee Lilley commented on the significance of Ralliant's decision: "Ralliant’s decision to establish its headquarters in Raleigh reflects the city’s dynamic economy, highly skilled talent pool, and outstanding quality of life."

The North Carolina Department of Commerce led the state's efforts during Ralliant's site evaluation process. The average salary for new positions will be $189,479 compared to Wake County's average wage of $76,643. This will add over $30 million annually to the community payroll.

A Job Development Investment Grant (JDIG) approved by the Economic Investment Committee will facilitate this project. It is estimated that over 12 years, the project could boost North Carolina's economy by more than $975 million. Based on new tax revenues generated by jobs and capital investment, JDIG authorizes potential reimbursements up to $2,630,250 over 12 years.

The return on investment for public dollars is projected at 195 percent; for every dollar spent by the state, there would be a return of $2.95 in state revenue.

Since Wake County is classified as Tier 3 under the economic tier system, Ralliant’s JDIG agreement requires moving $876,750 into the Industrial Development Fund – Utility Account. This fund supports infrastructure upgrades in rural communities.

N.C. Representative Tim Longest added appreciation for local collaboration: “I’d like to thank the many local, regional, and state economic development organizations that worked together to support Ralliant while they evaluated our area.”

Key partners included several North Carolina entities such as the Department of Commerce and various educational institutions like N.C. State University and Wake Technical Community College.
