Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools announces events supporting education and culture

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools has been actively engaging its community through a series of announcements and events shared on social media. These communications cover various topics, including educational guidance for parents, upcoming school events, and cultural celebrations within the schools.

On January 28, 2025, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools announced a "Virtual Lunch and Learn" session aimed at assisting parents with middle and high school registration. The event titled "Preparing for the Next Step: A Parent’s Role in Middle & High School Registration" is scheduled for January 30, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. The session will provide strategies to support children in making decisions about their academic paths.

Two days later, on January 30, 2025, the district encouraged the community to attend mid-year graduation ceremonies. They posted an invitation stating "Mark your calendars!! Join us for our mid-year graduations on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025 at Bojangles Coliseum, 4 p.m. & 7 p.m." Further details are available through a provided link.

Also on January 30, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools highlighted a cultural celebration at SAIL CMS Magnet School. Students participated in Lunar New Year festivities with a parade and dragon dance. The tweet read "Students at @SAIL_CMSMagnet celebrated the Lunar New Year yesterday with a colorful parade and dragon dance. Happy Year of the Snake."
