Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler is set to address the media regarding efforts to combat wildfires in Polk County and Western North Carolina. The briefing will also cover the statewide burn ban currently enforced due to dry and windy conditions.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 26, at 11:30 a.m. It will take place at the Tryon International Equestrian Center, located at 25 International Blvd., Mill Spring, NC 28756.
The N.C. Forest Service, part of the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, is actively involved in these fire response efforts. The Tryon International Equestrian Center has been designated as a command center for coordinating these activities.
Commissioner Troxler will be available to discuss these ongoing initiatives with members of the press.
