In North Carolina, a new online tool has been introduced to assist voters in determining if their ballots are being challenged by Jefferson Griffin, a candidate who lost his bid for the NC Supreme Court. This tool is aimed at addressing concerns that Griffin is attempting to overturn his election defeat by contesting the validity of 60,000 ballots.

Residents can visit ccnc.me/GriffinList to check if their votes are under scrutiny. The tool was developed by Terry Mahaffey, a member of the Apex Town Council, and is offered as a free public service.

Bob Phillips, Executive Director of Common Cause North Carolina, expressed gratitude towards Mahaffey for providing this resource. "We thank Terry for making this useful tool available to the public," Phillips stated. He also encouraged media outlets to promote the search tool to help voters determine if they are affected by Griffin's actions.

Griffin has requested that the NC Supreme Court discard these ballots, which Phillips describes as an attempt to alter election rules post-factum and disregard voter intent. "Griffin is trying to change the rules of the election after the fact and defy the will of voters, all in a desperate attempt to give himself a seat on our state’s highest court. That’s disgusting," said Phillips.

Common Cause North Carolina is actively raising awareness about this issue through a statewide campaign designed to amplify the voices of those impacted by Griffin's challenge.

Common Cause NC identifies itself as a nonpartisan grassroots organization focused on ensuring open and accountable governance while promoting equal rights and representation.
