Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools announces winter break schedule and celebrates Hmong New Year

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools recently shared updates on their social media platform, providing important information about the district's upcoming winter break schedule, a cultural event at Tuckaseegee Elementary, and expressing gratitude to their transportation department. The series of tweets highlights key events and acknowledgments within the school community.

On December 6, 2024, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools announced the schedule for the upcoming winter break via a tweet. "MARK YOUR CALENDAR! Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Winter Break is December 23, 2024 - January 3, 2025. All schools and district offices will be closed to the public. January 2-3 are teacher workdays. Please direct questions to your specific school."

Later that day, another tweet highlighted a cultural celebration at Tuckaseegee Elementary School. On December 6, 2024, they posted: "At Tuckaseegee Elementary, students, teachers & community members dressed in traditional Hmong attire and participated in activities observing the end of the farming season and the winter harvest. A huge thanks to Kay Vang for organizing this amazing cultural event." This event celebrated Hmong New Year with various participants donning traditional attire.
