Education and the Workforce Committee Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC) announced today that the Committee will conduct a transcribed interview with Dr. Dara Horn, focusing on her service as a member of Harvard’s Antisemitism Advisory Group.

The Antisemitism Advisory Group, which was announced on October 27, 2023, has since been dissolved and replaced by the university’s Presidential Task Force on Antisemitism. The interview with Dr. Horn is part of the Committee’s ongoing investigation into antisemitism at Harvard and is scheduled to take place on Monday, March 18, 2024.

In a statement, Chairwoman Foxx expressed her appreciation for Dr. Horn's participation, stating, “Dr. Horn’s interview will provide important insight into Harvard’s response to pervasive antisemitism on its campus. I appreciate Dr. Horn’s willingness to appear for this interview and look forward to hearing her unique perspective. The Committee will continue to use all its tools to examine the epidemic of antisemitism at Harvard and other universities and hold these institutions accountable for their failure to protect Jewish students.”

The interview with Dr. Horn is expected to shed light on the university's efforts and challenges in addressing antisemitism and ensuring the safety of Jewish students on campus. It marks a significant step in the Committee's commitment to investigating and addressing issues of antisemitism in academic institutions.

The Committee's pursuit to hold universities accountable for protecting Jewish students reflects a broader effort to combat antisemitism and promote inclusivity and safety within educational settings.
