Responding to a tweet of a news story saying the FBI apologized to special counsel John Durham over the Trump-Russia investigation, Moms for Liberty Mecklenburg Chapter President Brooke Weiss noted that the American people deserve the apology, and the FBI should be disbanded for lying.
"The American people are the ones that deserve an apology and the FBI deserves to be disbanded over their lies and election interference," Weiss said on Twitter.
She was responding to a tweet linking to a news report from The Daily BS on a June 21 U.S. House Judiciary Committee hearing, in which Durham testified that several FBI “have come to me and apologized for the manner in which that investigation [Crossfire Hurricane, the FBI investigation into claims of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia] was undertaken."
The Daily BS said Durham told Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan that one of the supervisory agents in the Crossfire Hurricane became so angry that he had to leave the room with his attorney and compose himself before returning. He was angry, Durham said, because the investigators had not been told of a memo about the Hillary Clinton campaign trying to “promote the idea Russia was supporting Trump, which then-FBI Director James Comey did not share with the agents.”
The information that the Clinton campaign was trying to sell the FBI on the idea of Trump-Russia collusion was serious enough that former CIA Director John Brennan went to the White House and briefed former President Barack Obama, then-Vice President Joe Biden, Attorney General Loretta Lynch and FBI Director James Comey about the Clinton campaign’s efforts; The Daily BS said.
Assistant FBI Director Peter Strzok learned of the Clinton information, but neither he nor Comey told either the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) or government lawyers who sought FISA warrants from the court to do surveillance on the Trump campaign of the memo about the Clinton campaign’s effort to promote a Trump-Russia connection, The Daily BS said.
