City of Albemarle issued the following announcement on Jan. 16.
Here’s a sneak peek at what you’ll soon see around downtown.
Brittani McClendon, from our City’s Planning and Development Department, shows one of the historic markers that will be used to highlight notable locations throughout the downtown area.
The City of Albemarle’s Planning and Development Department led a collaboration with the Stanly County Historical Society, Inc. to begin the historic marker program.
In the first phase of the program, markers will be placed at a total of ten locations.
The City of Albemarle’s Public Works division will complete installation of the historic markers.
