City of Belmont Police Department issued the following announcement on Nov. 19.
This week as part of our Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) refresher, we held department-wide Mental Health First Aid Training.
This training will help our officers recognize the early signs of a mental health crisis and better respond to those in need.
Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that teaches participants about mental health and substance-use issues.
