Enjoy a Candid Conversation with the Founder and Executive Director of A Place at the Table
Please join us as we welcome Maggie Kane, founder and executive director of A Place at the Table, for a conversation at our next Coffee with Leaders. A Place at the Table is a pay-what-you-can cafe in downtown Raleigh, providing great food for all regardless of means. Kane will share the story of how her vision became a community movement.
Kane grew up volunteering in soup kitchens. As she served others, she saw a need. Kane wanted to give the people she served more of a choice. She wanted them to feel valued. That’s where the idea for A Place at the Table was born. But, getting her idea to become reality took years of hard work and determination. Kane will share that inspirational story with you, including the steps she took to build the nonprofit.
Fresh off Kane’s TEDx Talk, hear her powerful story. You also will be able to ask her questions. This series is meant for companies with 50 employees or fewer. Space is limited.
