CHARLOTTE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Six Bradley Partners Named Lmg Life Sciences 2019 ‘Stars’

Award

Charlotte Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that six of the firm’s partners have been included in the 2019 edition of the LMG Life Sciences referral guide to leading North American law firms and lawyers that focus in the life sciences industry.

Bradley partners Lindsey C Boney IV, Tripp Haston, Lela M. Hollabaugh, David G. Hymer, Kimberly B. Martin, and Dana C. Lumsden were selected as “Life Sciences Stars,” who are designated as among the preeminent life sciences practitioners in the United States.

The rankings are posted online at www.lmglifesciences.com and will be distributed to selected in-house counsel within pharmaceutical and biotech corporations.

In addition to its annual rankings of attorneys, LMG Life Sciences presents awards each year to the top firms and legal professionals in the life sciences sector. For 2019, Bradley was named by the LMG Life Sciences Awards as the “Firm to Watch” in the Non-IP Litigation category.

Based in the firm’s Birmingham office, Mr. Boney represents multinational pharmaceutical companies in mass tort litigation. He has been a member of numerous mass tort national counsel teams defending pharmaceutical companies. He has represented corporate clients from numerous industries, including Fortune 50 and European-based companies, in federal and state-court litigation in both trial and appellate courts.

Also based in the Birmingham office, Mr. Haston is co-leader of Bradley’s Life Sciences industry team. He represents a broad spectrum of clients on regional, national and international engagements. He regularly represents medical device and pharmaceutical clients in products liability litigation. In addition, he has served numerous clients as national trial and coordinating counsel and as a national team member in individual actions as well as mass tort and multi-district litigation. His experience has involved matters throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and South America. In addition to his ranking as a “Life Sciences Star,” Mr. Haston was among this year’s finalists for “Product Liability Attorney of the Year” from the LMG Life Sciences Awards.

Managing partner of Bradley’s Nashville, Tenn., office, Ms. Hollabaugh has served as the lead trial lawyer in more than a dozen jury trials, as well as more than two dozen bench trials, arbitrations and administrative hearings. She advises leading natural gas pipeline companies and other infrastructure clients on issues involving location, land acquisition, construction, and operations. She also represents leading pharmaceutical, medical device and other manufacturers in matters ranging from individual lawsuits to mass tort cases around the country.

Based in the Birmingham office, Mr. Hymer focuses his practice on complex business and commercial litigation, which includes a significant plaintiff’s practice on behalf of corporate clients as well as a more traditional corporate defense practice. In addition to his trial work involving business and commercial disputes, he has substantial courtroom trial experience in environmental, product liability, antitrust, construction and class action litigation. He has served as lead trial counsel in more than 30 trials and arbitration proceedings during his career. He currently leads the firm’s national representation of a party involved in opioid litigation pending throughout the country.

Based in the firm’s Charlotte, N.C., office Mr. Lumsden focuses his practice on business litigation, including intellectual property disputes, securities litigation, investigations and enforcement proceedings, and the resolution of regulatory controversies concerning the consumer financial services industry. He advises and represents domestic and international companies, including some of the world’s largest financial institutions and manufacturers. In class action matters, he has successfully defended clients in putative class actions involving ERISA, securities, banking and consumer finance claims.

Based in the firm’s Huntsville office and chair of Bradley’s Litigation Practice Group, Ms. Martin focuses her practice on general litigation with an emphasis on medical device and pharmaceutical products liability litigation, as well as white collar matters and False Claims Act litigation. She has tried cases in state and federal court. Most recently, she served as trial counsel successfully defending a nationwide hospice provider in a three-month False Claim Act trial brought by the U.S. Department of Justice. She has represented multi-national pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in litigation across the country.

Bradley’s nationally recognized Life Sciences Industry Team represents clients involved in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, molecular testing services, drug delivery systems, clinical labs (CLIA), genomic labs, bioinformatics, genomic medical clinics, research institutions, contract research organizations, animal sciences, plant sciences, and healthcare. Among the team’s other recent top accolades are Tier 1 national rankings in the 2019 edition of U.S. News – Best Lawyers "Best Law Firms" for Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions, as well as Tier 1 “Best Law Firms” metropolitan rankings for Product Liability Litigation – Defendants for the markets with the Bradley offices of Birmingham; Jackson, Miss.; Montgomery, Ala; Nashville; and Washington, D.C.
