State Water Infrastructure Authority meetings set for Edenton and online participation

The State Water Infrastructure Authority is set to convene in Edenton and via teleconference on Wednesday, April 16, and Thursday, April 17. The meetings will occur from 2 to 4:35 p.m. on April 16 and from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on April 17. The public can attend in person at the Edenton Municipal Building or participate online or by phone.

For those opting to join remotely, Webex links and credentials are provided. "The authority is an independent body with primary responsibility for awarding federal and state funding for water and wastewater infrastructure projects," details a release. It also guides the development of a state water infrastructure master plan and advises on loan and grant funding resources.

Meeting-related documents will be made available beforehand. Interested parties can view these on the official website.

To participate in the public comment portion, registration is required by 8 a.m. on April 17. More information about this procedure and additional details about the Authority's responsibilities can also be found online.
