N.C. Plant Conservation Board meeting scheduled for April 16 in Raleigh

The N.C. Plant Conservation Board is scheduled to hold a meeting to address various topics concerning land conservation, stewardship efforts by the N.C. Plant Conservation Program, and regulatory matters. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The meeting is set to be held at the Steve Troxler Agricultural Science Center, located at 4400 Reedy Creek Road, Raleigh, NC. Individuals interested in attending the meeting can also participate virtually through Microsoft Teams using the provided Meeting ID and Passcode.

The N.C. Plant Conservation Program is tasked with creating regulations, voluntary programs, and partnerships aimed at protecting endangered species and their habitats. Their responsibilities involve the listing of North Carolina's endangered, threatened, and special concern plant species, as well as developing conservation programs for their permanent protection. The program employs methods such as acquiring and managing significant plant sites to support native plant systems.
