Rep. Alma S. Adams, Ph.D., currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing North Carolina’s 12th district, shared her thoughts and activities on social media recently. Her tweets addressed topics ranging from educational advocacy to economic concerns.

On March 5, 2025, Rep. Adams expressed her pride in having Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board Chair Stephanie Sneed as her guest for a Joint Session of Congress. She stated, "I’m proud to have Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board Chair Stephanie Sneed as my guest for tonight’s Joint Session of Congress." Adams highlighted that Chair Sneed understands the impact of the administration's actions on public education within their district.

Continuing on the same day, Rep. Adams conveyed her commitment to working alongside Chair Sneed to improve educational outcomes in their region. She tweeted, "I’m honored to work with Chair Sneed to ensure that every child in Charlotte and Mecklenburg County receives a quality education."

Later that day, Rep. Adams turned her attention to economic issues by addressing the rising cost of living under President Trump's administration. She noted a significant increase in egg prices in Charlotte, stating that they had risen by 175% since December. In her tweet she remarked, "President Trump promised to lower the cost of living. Last month, egg prices in Charlotte were as high as $5.97 a dozen—up 175% since December."
