Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools shares updates on graduation and family engagement events

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) recently shared several updates and events through their official Twitter account. The tweets, posted in early February 2025, cover a range of topics from celebrating student achievements to announcing educational events for families.

On February 9, CMS extended congratulations to its mid-year graduates. In a tweet, the school district expressed optimism about the future prospects of these students. "Congratulations to our mid-year grads! The future is bright, and we're excited to see you shine. Go make your mark on the world!"

The following day, on February 10, CMS announced an upcoming Family Academy Virtual Coffee & Conversations event scheduled for February 13. This session aims to discuss student assessments and instructional resources while offering strategies for supporting learning at home. "Family Academy Virtual Coffee & Conversations: Discussions around students assessments, instructional resources, and strategies to support learning at home."

Also on February 10, CMS promoted another virtual event titled "Virtual Lunch and Learn: Navigating High School Honors Coursework." This session is designed to help families understand high school honors courses and how they can support students undertaking advanced coursework. The event is set for February 13 as well. "Virtual Lunch and Learn: Navigating High School Honors Coursework Join us to learn more about what honors courses look like in high school & how families can support students with honors and advanced coursework."
