The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has announced its endorsement of Pat Harrigan for the United States House of Representatives, representing North Carolina's 10th Congressional District. The NFIB is recognized as a leading advocacy group for small businesses across the nation.
Gregg Thompson, NFIB North Carolina State Director, expressed support for Harrigan, stating, "Pat Harrigan is a proven leader with business acumen and a commitment to service." Thompson highlighted that Harrigan and his wife operate a gun manufacturing facility in the district. He added, "I look forward to working with Pat Harrigan on business issues, which I’m confident he is extremely familiar with being an independent business owner himself."
Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director, also endorsed Harrigan by emphasizing his background. She stated, "A former Green Beret and small business owner, Pat Harrigan is intimately familiar with the issues facing Main Street and will confront these challenges at a time when leadership is needed." Sussin noted that Harrigan has committed to supporting policies that foster economic growth.
The endorsement comes from NFIB FedPAC, the organization's political action committee. This committee relies on voluntary contributions from members beyond their regular dues. Decisions regarding endorsements are made through grassroots evaluations driven by members.
