On December 2, 2024, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools tweeted about the importance of completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). They emphasized that "Discover the power of FAFSA by completing it today! The Free Application for Federal Student Aid opened on December 1. You can fill out FAFSA to apply for federal financial aid, grants, loans, and work-study programs. Be FAFSA Strong!" This message aims to encourage students to apply for federal financial support.

In another tweet from December 2, 2024, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools announced an event designed to expose eighth graders to future opportunities. They stated that "This week, every single one of our 8th graders is heads to the Endless Possibilities Fair! Tues - Fri, our students get first peek at what all there is to choose from. On Saturday, it's open to the public." This event allows students and later the public to explore different career paths and educational choices.
