Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) has recently shared a series of tweets highlighting various educational initiatives and opportunities. The posts, dated between November 19 and November 21, 2024, emphasize the district's efforts to engage with students, parents, and alumni through different programs.

On November 19, CMS invited families to participate in an event focused on literacy development. "Literacy with the 'Why'! Bridging School and Home" aims to explore literacy across all content areas at both school and home settings. This initiative is part of the Family Academy Lunch and Learn program designed to familiarize attendees with current CMS curriculum resources.

The following day, November 20, CMS extended an invitation for an event titled "Endless Possibilities: Exploring Education Options at CMS". Scheduled for December 7 at the Park Expo Center, this event offers attendees a chance to meet school staff, education professionals, career and technical educators, as well as military recruiters. The goal is to showcase the diverse educational opportunities available within CMS.

On November 21, CMS introduced its new alumni series named "Alumni Excellence in Action: Stories of Alumni Achievement". This series aims to highlight the achievements of CMS graduates post-graduation. The district encourages alumni who wish to share their success stories to reach out.
