Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) has been actively engaging the community through social media updates regarding upcoming events and initiatives. These communications aim to keep families informed about registration processes, community partnerships, and educational opportunities within the district.

On November 18, 2024, CMS announced preparations for the 2025-26 school year. The district encouraged new students to register for school and invited continuing students to participate in the school program lottery. This initiative aims to help families select preferred educational programs. "Get excited for the 2025-26 school year at CMS. If you are new to CMS register now for school. If continuing your education with CMS, choose the school program(s) you prefer by registering for the lottery."

Later that day, CMS expressed gratitude towards local McDonald's owners and operators for their support through the annual "Fries for a Cause" event. The funds raised from this event will be used to benefit teachers and schools directly. CMS highlighted this partnership as an example of community support playing a vital role in enhancing educational resources. "We're grateful to our local McDonald's owners & operators for their annual Fries for a Cause! This generous donation will directly benefit our teachers & schools."
