The founder of American Majority Action (AMA) said the presidential election in North Carolina will be determined by early and absentee voters.

"This presidential election is going to come down to ballots, plain and simple. If North Carolina voters want to avoid another four years of lawfare, government weaponization, economic and inflation disaster, and open borders, they should get their absentee ballots in or vote early in person ASAP,” AMA founder Ned Ryun told Old North News. “Don't let it come down to Election Day once again”

“Let's put Donald Trump into the lead on the absentee and early ballot vote coming into November 5th where historically Republicans have crushed Democrats on Election Day voting,” said Ryun.

North Carolina's status as a battleground state comes after Trump won the state over Joe Biden in the 2020 election, despite losing the election as a whole. Trump earned 49.9% of the vote in the state, compared to Biden's 48.6%.

A recent American Greatness poll showed the presidential race is a dead heat in North Carolina, although voters favor former President Donald Trump on economic issues, giving Vice President Kamala Harris low marks on border security and her support for reparations.

Regarding “Bidenomics,” 15% said it works “very well” vs. 40% of swing state voters who said it works “not at all.” Among young voters aged 18-34 years old, 9% said Bidenomics works “very well.” On the topic of reparations, battleground voters overwhelmingly reject Kamala Harris’s pro-reparations stance, with 27% backing her view. Among blue-collar white voters, 18% agree with Kamala Harris’ support of reparations.

The American Greatness poll was conducted by North Star Opinion Research and interviewed 1,400 likely voters, 200 per state in Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Carolina.

The vast majority of North Carolinians voted early in-person in the last presidential election, with 3,460,562 voters, or 62.4% of the final vote population, voting that way.

Only 16.2% of votes, amounting to 896,818 voters, voted at the polls in person on election day, according to data from the North Carolina Election Assistance Commission

Additionally, 974,351 voters, or 17.6% of the total votes, were sent in as mail in ballots.

Ryun said his organization has launched outreach programs to encourage conservative voters to increase voter turnout this election.

He is founder and CEO of American Majority, an advocacy organization that wants to “put in place new conservative grassroots political infrastructure." He recently released his latest book, “American Leviathan: The Birth of the Administrative State and Progressive Authoritarianism.”

Ryun previously created Generation Joshua, a civics education program, was appointed to the 1776 Commission by former President Donald Trump, and is a former writer for President George W. Bush. Ryun lives with his wife and four children in Virginia.
