Terry Schilling, president of American Principles Project, said the pride collection Kohl's have advertised in their children's sections  "should seriously disturb every parent in this country" and consumers should not shop at the department store, which donates to the Trevor Project.

"The vast majority of Americans oppose allowing children to undergo dangerous sex-change procedures," Schilling said. "Yet, most Americans are unwittingly supporting these activities when they give their money to companies like Disney and Kohl's. This should seriously disturb every parent in this country."

"The reality is that corporate America should not be giving a dime to help advance the radical, destructive agenda of The Trevor Project," he said. "And once the transgender industry has been fully exposed for the damage it has caused, these companies will have to face the judgment of history along with every ideologue who furthered this movement."

According to their website, Kohl's will, again this year, be selling pride themed merchandise in their stores including over 40 items in their kids collection, including sizes as small as 2T for toddlers, and 53 in their teen collection, many featuring characters like Mickey Mouse, Barbie, the Care Bears, among others. Kohl's will also be carrying products from TomboyX which markets products including "gender affirming underwear" and "safer alternatives to chest binders."

According to Kohl's pride collection landing page, this year Kohl's Cares will be donating $100,000 in support of the Trevor Project.

The Trevor Project provides online resources and a social network community called TrevorSpace tailored to children as young as 13 that encourages members to "explore" their identity. The group further states their belief that "there is no 'right' age to understand your gender identity" and published a guide on how to support and encourage "transgender and non-binary young people" including how to properly use pronouns, including she, he, they, ze/zie, xe, and ve, and avoid "hurtful or stigmatizing" microaggressions.

Kohl's currently operates 31 store locations throughout North Carolina.
