A recent poll conducted among North Carolina voters, commissioned by the League of American Workers (LAW), reveals that former President Donald Trump holds a seven-point lead over current President Joe Biden in a hypothetical three-way race, also featuring Robert Kennedy Jr. The survey further discovered that 75 percent of North Carolina voters believe the nation is heading in the wrong direction, with 61 percent expressing disapproval of Biden's economic policies.

The survey results indicate dissatisfaction among North Carolina voters with Biden's economic management. According to the data, Trump outpaces Biden by a margin of 39 to 32 percent, while Kennedy Jr. garners 16 percent of the vote. Among self-identified independent voters, Trump leads Biden by a margin of 31 to 22, with Kennedy Jr. receiving support from 29 percent. Sixty-one percent of voters disapprove of Biden’s handling of the economy, including 65 percent of independents polled. The poll was conducted on behalf of LAW by North Star Opinion Research.

"North Carolina voters make it clear that they're totally dissatisfied with the direction of the country, especially regarding the economy," said Steve Cortes, founder and chairman of LAW, commenting on the poll results. "They reject Bidenomics and Biden and show a substantial preference for Trump into November."

The survey also found that respondents feel Biden's economic approach does not offer opportunities for working-class advancement by a similar two-to-one margin. This sentiment was shared by 71 percent of voters earning less than $50,000 per year and 66 percent of rural and small-town voters.

According to a recent Forbes report, even though inflation has begun to decrease, consumers are still facing higher prices than before Biden assumed office. Compared to January 2020 figures, consumers paid an overall increase of 19 percent for goods and services in December 2023. However, average costs rose by 25 percent for food, 26 percent for energy, and 21 percent for shelter.
