City of Bessemer issued the following announcement on March 19.
Be advised that the City of Bessemer City will be transitioning IT services tomorrow Tuesday, March 21st.
During this time we anticipate a brief interruption of phone services.
In case of an emergency regarding Natural Gas or Water Service, please call 704-866-3300.
Please note, the non-emergency Police line (704-629-2235) will remain active.
We thank you for your cooperation.
All phone services will be restored on Wednesday, March 22nd.
