City of Albemarle issued the following announcement on Jan. 3.
The Stanly County NAACP will honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the 20th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Unity Prayer Breakfast on January 14, at 9 a.m. at the E.E. Waddell Community Center.
The keynote speaker will be Rev. Charles Barrino, pastor of Saints Delight Church in Albemarle.
Tickets and/or table reservations are available by contacting any member of the local NAACP or can be purchased in person at the EE Waddell Community Center's main office during regular business hours Monday-Friday.
