City of Boiling Spring Lakes issued the following announcement on Sept. 30.
Whereas, with the expected landfall of Hurricane Ian, I have determined that a State of Emergency exists in the City of Boiling Spring Lakes; and
Whereas, as a result, the State of Emergency and imposing restrictions and prohibitions ordered herein is necessary to maintain order and protect public health, safety and welfare, and to secure the property;
Now, therefore, pursuant to the authority vested in me as the Mayor of Boiling Spring Lake under Article IA of Chapter 166A of the North Carolina genera; Statues the State of Emergency is hereby declared within the jurisdiction of the City of Boiling Spring Lakes.
This State of Emergency in the City of Boiling Spring Lakes shall become effective at 10:00 o.m. Thursday, September 20 through 12:00 o.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2022.
