CITY OF ASHEBORO: Electronic Public Auction | Surplus Vehicles

City of Asheboro issued the following announcement on Aug. 11.

Surplus City Of Asheboro Vehicles

Pursuant to Asheboro City Council Resolution No. 27 RES 8-22, the City of Asheboro will hold an electronic public auction of the four surplus vehicles/pieces of equipment listed below:

1. 1989 International Model 9700 Road Tractor

2. 1991 Ford Model LT8000 Dump Truck

3. 1998 Ford Model L8000 Vactor Truck

4. 2007 Sterling Model LT7501 Vactor Truck

The electronic bidding for the above-listed surplus equipment will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. The electronic auction will be conducted by GovDeals, and bids must be submitted by means of the GovDeals.com platform. Detailed information about the surplus equipment as well as a full listing of the terms and conditions of the sale can be found at www.govdeals.com.

All surplus property is offered for sale “AS IS, WHERE IS.” As seller, the city makes no warranty, guaranty, or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. The city reserves the right to delete/remove from the auction or “NO SALE” any item(s).

The city has elected to utilize GovDeals financial settlement services. GovDeals collects all proceeds from the buyer. As one part of the collection/payment process, the winning bidder must pay a 12.50% Buyers Premium to GovDeals.

Beginning at 9:00 a.m. on August 23, 2022, visit www.govdeals.com to participate in the electronic public auction and submit one or more bids, to obtain additional information about the surplus property offered for sale, and to review all of the terms and conditions of the sale.
