CITY OF ASHEBORO: Street and Parking Lot Closures | August 5 Rock'n the Park Concert

City of Asheboro issued the following announcement on Aug. 3.

The following parking lot and street closures/converions to one-way will occur Friday, August 5 at the times noted as part of the Rock’n the Park Concert. Residents and visitors to Asheboro are requested to have their non-event vehicles moved from these locations prior to the closures. Please refer to THIS MAP for additional details.

PARKING LOT CLOSURES

  • Fri., August 5 at 6:00 a.m.: The southern portions of the Bicentennial Park parking lots will be closed to allow restroom facilities, food trucks and other vendors to set up.
  • Fri., August 5 at 5:00 p.m.: The northern portions of the Bicentennial Park parking lots will be closed to all traffic except for a limited amount of first-come, first-served accessible parking spaces for properly credentialed vehicles.
Parking lots will be available at the Public Library, Randolph County Courthouse, City Hall, Farmers Market, Hill St. parking lots, and the S. Church St. three-tiered parking lot.

 STREET CLOSURES

  • Fri., August 5 at 5:15 p.m.: The following streets will be closed or changed to one-way traffic as follows:
    • Fayetteville St. between W. Salisbury St. and W. Academy St. – CLOSED FOR PAID PARKING (managed by Asheboro Rotary Club and open to all vehicles | $5 with the proceeds going to charity | Entrance will be from Salisbury St.)
    • Sunset Ave. between North St. and S. Fayetteville St. – CLOSED
    • Sunset Ave. between Church St. and North St. – ONE-WAY EAST
    • North St. between Sunset Ave. and W. Salisbury St. – ONE-WAY NORTH
    • Railroad alley from Sunset Ave. and W. Salisbury St. – ONE-WAY NORTH
