May 2021: Home prices in Charlotte increased

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2021 in Charlotte rose by $58,000 while total sales increased by 64.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2021, there were 1,719 homes sold, with a median sale price of $308,000 - a 23.2% increase over the $250,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 1,043 homes sold in Charlotte in May 2020.

The median sales tax in Charlotte for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $2,071, approximately 0.7% of the median home sale price for May 2021.
