Mount Pleasant home prices rose in 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in 2019 in Mount Pleasant rose by $4,500 while total sales decreased by 38.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2019, there were 24 homes sold, with a median sale price of $219,500 - a 2.1% increase over the $215,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 39 homes sold in Mount Pleasant in 2018.

The median sales tax in Mount Pleasant for 2019 was $1,571. In 2018, the median sales tax was $1,533. This marks an increase of 2.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.7%.
