How did home prices perform in Charlotte during the second half of 2019?

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2019 in Charlotte rose by $96,500 while total sales increased by 6.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2019, there were 31 homes sold, with a median sale price of $299,000 - a 47.7% increase over the $202,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 29 homes sold in Charlotte in the second half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Charlotte for 2019 was $1,243. In 2018, the median sales tax was $1,209. This marks an increase of 2.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.4%.
