The fourth quarter of 2019: Harrisburg experienced a 17.1% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2019 in Harrisburg rose by $43,000 while total sales decreased by 2.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2019, there were 83 homes sold, with a median sale price of $295,000 - a 17.1% increase over the $252,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 85 homes sold in Harrisburg in the fourth quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Harrisburg for 2019 was $2,322. In 2018, the median sales tax was $2,263. This marks an increase of 2.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.8%.
