City of Wilson issued the following announcement.
Tropical Storm Isaias is expected to bring 4-6 inches of rain to Wilson from Monday evening until the storm moves out mid-day Tuesday. The biggest threats to our area is flash flooding and high winds. Those conditions will make driving unsafe and could lead to power outages.
Mayor Stevens proclaimed a State of Emergency on Monday. Hurricane Isaias State of Emergency
Tuesday trash and recycle routes will be moved to Wednesday due to high probability of severe weather. Please bring in all bins off the curb so there is no risk of falling over or rolling away.
Please respect any barriers in place and never drive on flooded streets. Even if a street looks safe, flood waters can quickly overtake your car. Always Turn Around Don’t Drown.

Especially after hours, it eliminates the need to search for a phone number, or any uncertainty about who to call. A City of Wilson employee will review your request, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Emergency situations such as gas leaks or downed power lines should still be reported by phone to 252-399-2424. Fix-It Wilson is available for iOS and Android devices. Fix_It Wilson link
