City of Whiteville issued the following announcement.
Whiteville Police Department will host two canned food drives, Thursday July 23 and 30, at the City Hall parking lot. Collected goods will go to the food bank at Harvest Table for Operation Help Feed Hunger, which will feed families that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The goal is to collect dried, jarred and canned foods to assist Harvest Table in its mission to feed the hungry. People needing assistance can call Harvest Table at 642-6654.
Collection hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
