Charlotte home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2019 in Charlotte rose by $26,000 while total sales increased by 18.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2019, there were 4,342 homes sold, with a median sale price of $231,000 - a 12.7% increase over the $205,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 3,667 homes sold in Charlotte in the fourth quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Charlotte for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,696, approximately 0.7% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2019.
