The Chamber's Smart Series offers information and practical tools to help you improve your performance, your business success, and your impact in the community -- one of the many benefits offered to Chamber members. Our October session will be feature Public Policy: Legislation for Business, presented by Corey Atkins, the Chamber's vice president for public policy.

The Asheville Chamber serves as the leading voice for business and provides a forum for relevant community discussions and policies impacting business. Through these efforts, Chamber members have an excellent opportunity to have a direct impact on our public policy initiatives.

Come gain a behind-the-scenes look at how our Public Policy staff work on local, state and federal levels on behalf of your business. Some of the key points will include

Corey Atkins earned his bachelor’s degree from American University and is a graduate of University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill law school. He began his career as an Assistant District Attorney for Mecklenburg County and moved to Asheville in 2010 to start a private practice focused on litigation, defense, and business and government relations. In 2019, he was awarded the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives 2019 40 Under 40 award which highlights the brightest men and women under the age of 40 in the chamber industry.
