Dorothea Dix Park: What’s on the Horizon?

There are exciting things happening at Dorothea Dix Park. You probably know it hosted the Dreamville Festival and its sold-out crowd of 40,000 people. Of course, who could forget all the great photos on social media inside the sunflower field? But, there is a lot more on the horizon at Dorothea Dix.

City leaders are developing the 300+ acre urban park. It will include:

Sports fields

Restaurants

Observation decks that overlook Raleigh’s skyline

What else should we expect and when? Learn from Sean Malone, the president and CEO of the Dorothea Dix Conservancy. He will share with us:

A breakdown of the park’s master plan

What to expect in the next 1-3 years

Ways in which the park will balance nature and outdoor activities with commercial needs

The event also will include a question-and-answer session with Malone and PNC Bank Regional President Jim Hansen, who serves as a board member of the Dorothea Dix Park Conservancy and the chair of the Raleigh Chamber’s Board of Directors. Our President and CEO Adrienne Cole will moderate our discussion.

RSVP by Sept. 19
