WakeMed has announced Stephen DeMeo, DO, as the winner of the Harry E. Dascomb, MD, Award. This award is WakeMed’s highest teaching honor and is given annually to a physician who excels in patient care and medical education.

Dr. DeMeo is a board-certified Neonatologist and has been with WakeMed since 2015. He provides care for critically ill infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and holds positions as the pediatric clerkship site director for Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine (CUSOM) at WakeMed and Regional Assistant Dean for the CUSOM clinical campus in Raleigh. Dr. DeMeo has also been honored with the CUSOM-Raleigh Region Preceptor of the Year Award three times.
