WakeMed has been recognized as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity for 2025. The announcement was made following a ranking released by Newsweek, which highlights employers across the United States that are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. This recognition is based on 339,000 individual company reviews from employees.

The honorees in this list represent various industries, including financial services and healthcare.

Newsweek collaborated with Plant-A Insights to develop the ranking. The process involved using publicly available data, conducting interviews with HR professionals, and administering an anonymous online survey among a diverse group of employees at companies with at least 1,000 employees.

This year marks the third consecutive time that WakeMed has been featured on Newsweek’s list.
