Tyler Tracy, a wrestler from NC State, earned a bronze medal for Jamaica at the 2025 Junior Pan-American Games in Asuncion, Paraguay. This achievement marks the first time Jamaica has won a wrestling medal at the event.

Tracy secured his podium finish in the 74 kg weight class after a 10-0 victory over Joao Maldonado in his final match. He also defeated Tanner Peake, who previously wrestled at Davidson and was an alternate at the 2024 NCAA Wrestling Championships.

This is not Tracy’s first milestone on the international stage. Earlier this year, he became Jamaica’s first-ever bronze medalist at the U23 Pan-American Championships held in Mexico. He is scheduled to compete next at the U23 World Wrestling Championships in Serbia this October.
