The charges include forcible sex offense, sexual battery, and operating a massage business without a license while under an immigration detainer.

According to Charlotte Alerts News, 46-year-old Dimas Roberto Ortez-Maradiaga was taken into custody on October 1, 2025. He allegedly sexually assaulted a woman who had visited his Charlotte apartment for a massage. The victim reported that Ortez-Maradiaga groped her, massaged her vaginal area, and attempted to kiss her despite her objections. She fled and reported the incident to the police. Charlotte Alerts News further said that both Ortez-Maradiaga and his wife admitted to running an unlicensed massage and therapy business from their home, which violates state health and licensing laws.

Mugshots.zone reported that Mecklenburg County jail records indicate Ortez-Maradiaga was booked on October 1, 2025, facing multiple felony and misdemeanor counts. The charges include Second Degree Forcible Sex Offense, Sexual Battery, and two counts of Health Law violations related to unlicensed professional practice. The record confirms his custody status in Mecklenburg County Jail and includes physical identifiers such as age, height, and weight.

In its public statement on X, Illegal Alien Crimes noted that Ortez-Maradiaga has an active immigration detainer hold. This indicates U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) interest in the case.
