Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools recently shared several updates on their activities and events through social media posts. These updates highlight the involvement of students in various educational and extracurricular activities, as well as efforts to engage families with school programs.
On March 18, 2025, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools announced that students from Providence, Myers Park, Phillip O. Berry, and East Mecklenburg High Schools participated in the Greater Charlotte Automotive Dealers Auto Tech Competition. The tweet stated: "Engines revving! The following day, on March 19, 2025, another post highlighted an educational trip by 6th and 7th graders from Charlotte East Language Academy to Kennedy Space Center. During this visit, students met with a NASA aerospace engineer and experienced a computer simulation of a space shuttle takeoff among other hands-on activities. Also on March 19, Winterfield Elementary School hosted an event for families featuring academic fun such as a science glow room and vocabulary games. Additionally, sessions were provided to inform parents about district programs including Parent Square and counseling services.
