Elon Musk’s America PAC is reportedly offering $47 for every referral to and signature from a North Carolina voter on his petition to support free speech and the Second Amendment.

The offer is available to residents in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin and North Carolina.

According to the website of the campaign, the "goal is to get 1 million registered voters in swing states to sign in support of the Constitution, especially freedom of speech and the right to bear arms." Musk has cited free speech and support for the Second Amendment as key reasons for his support for Donald Trump.

On X, Women for Gun Rights stated that over 10 million gun owners and hunters nationwide are not currently registered to vote. This includes 370,470 gun owners and hunters in North Carolina.

According to the North Carolina Secretary of State's office, President Trump won the 2020 vote for president in NC by 74,483 votes.

In an op-ed for the Daily Caller, Katie Baney, Chairman of the Board & Executive Director of the U.S. Concealed Carry Association for Saving Lives Action Fund, wrote that "one sizable voter bloc that can and should significantly impact the elections is law-abiding gun owners" and that "the gap between Second Amendment advocates and detractors is growing wider by the day."
