The founder of Starlink and SpaceX said his “blood is boiling” after his companies tried to deliver Hurricane Helene relief supplies to North Carolina and said the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)  is “failing to help.”

“SpaceX engineers are trying to deliver Starlink terminals and supplies to devastated areas in North Carolina right now and FEMA is both failing to help AND won’t let others help. This is unconscionable,” Elon Musk, founder of the companies, posted on X, with an aerial video of hurricane destruction in the state.

“They just took this video a few hours ago, where you can see the level of devastation: roads, houses, electricity, water supply and ground Internet connections completely destroyed. FEMA wouldn’t let them land to deliver critical supplies … my blood is boiling,” posted Musk.

Former President Donald Trump (R) on Sept. 30 said he had asked Musk to provide Starlink internet access to hurricane victims who were without power and internet, reported The Hill.

“I just spoke to Elon, and we want to get Starlink hooked up because they have no communication whatsoever,” said Trump. “Elon will always come through. We know that.”

Starlink “has positioned more than 6,000 satellites in low-Earth orbit to beam broadband internet service to on-the-ground terminals,” reported the The News & Observer
