The Mecklenburg County Chapter Chair for the Moms for Liberty Foundation, Brooke Weiss, shared the lessons her daughter’s teachers enacted within the first week of school, slamming the theme of ‘The American Dream’ as being meant for white people.
"It’s the 2nd day of school & my daughter’s ELA teacher told the class the American dream is designed for only white people," Weiss said. "She also has a banned book bulletin board displayed right outside her classroom. @Moms4Liberty will hold @CharMeckSchools & @CMSboard accountable."
Weiss shared the event on Platform X, formerly known as Twitter, continuing the thread to add that her daughter is an 11th grader in the school district, and the theme of the entire semester long class was The American Dream. Weiss was upset that the message was delivered so early in the year, and also shared that she had scheduled a meeting with the principal on the following day, August 30th.
