City of Albemarle issued the following announcement on Jan. 3.
Construction of the Albemarle Business Center is getting a boost with $763,100 in funding from the Golden LEAF Foundation.
As the City's Strategic Plan was developed, we asked you to participate in a community survey to help us shape the City's future.
79% of survey respondents said developing the Albemarle Business Center was a top priority.
The funds from the Golden LEAF Foundation will be used to support clearing and grading within the property to create a business-ready site.
Once completed, the Albemarle Business Center will offer careers, not just jobs.
This ties directly to the Strategic Plan goal of Community & Economic Growth Opportunities.
