City of Burlington issued the following announcement on Jan. 26.
Burlington Recreation & Parks offers a variety of 10-week Summer Day Camps (5 sites)! Each camp offers a unique and individual camp experience to participants. Your child will enjoy exciting adventures in the outdoors, organized games and tons more engaging opportunities with a caring and responsible staff to lead the way!
Registration will begin Tuesday, March 1 at 8am!
NEW! Registration can be completed online using Civic Rec at https://secure.rec1.com/NC/burlington-nc/catalog. Please visit http://www.burlingtonnc.gov/youth to help prepare you for registration (both online & in-person).
Spaces are limited. Spaces cannot be reserved or guaranteed. If registering in person, we cannot guarantee a spot during the waiting period. Please visit www.BurlingtonNC.gov/youth for more details.
Prior to camp registration day, it is highly recommended that you create your account in Civic Rec.
STEPS TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT IN CIVIC REC:
1. Visit https://secure.rec1.com/NC/burlington-nc/catalog
• On your desktop, select Log In/Create Account in the top left corner, then select Create Your BRPD Account.
• On mobile devices, select Account in the upper right corner and then select Sign Up.
2. Fill out all the required information (address, personal info, contact numbers, etc..)
• To receive text alerts regarding programming (cancellations, important info), make sure to select your mobile carrier next to your cell phone number.
• Add additional members (spouse, children, etc.) at any time in your account settings- this keeps your entire household in one convenient account.
*If using a mobile device, to add additional members you must select 'Desktop Version' in the left hand menu.*
